Area at Risk

Map of Newhaven Incinerator Contamination Area

The toxic and hazardous emissions from modern mixed waste incinerators are very conservatively estimated to contaminate an area ten to fifteen miles from the source. If you live work or spend time in any of the areas shown on this map then you have great cause for concern. If you are outside of the area shown that doesn't mean you are safe. There is considerable evidence that emissions from an incinerator sited at Newhaven could reach London and even beyond depending upon prevailing winds and local weather conditions. Whatever the ultimate range of the emissions, a lot of people can be assured of continous exposure to dioxins, carcinogens and other toxins and poisons.
